Centennial Fund Campaign

Since its founding in 1930, NERYC has been a beacon of safe boating, camaraderie, and community spirit. As we embark on our journey toward NERYC’s second century, we invite you to be part of history through the Centennial Fund Campaign.

The mission of NERYC, as outlined in our original certificate of incorporation, has always been clear: “to encourage the sport of yachting, promote the science of seamanship and navigation, and provide a welcoming clubhouse and facilities for the recreation and social activities of all our members.”

With floating docks and well-protected slips, the Club proudly offers one of the best marinas on the upper bay. NERYC has been a launch point for members to explore the Chesapeake and beyond, helping them create memories and experiences on the water.

Now, it’s time to focus on enhancing our clubhouse and outdoor areas. Significant improvements—only possible through the Centennial Fund—will provide us with an updated, attractive facility that we can all be proud to share with our families and friends. These upgrades will also increase the overall appeal of the club, making it more attractive to potential new members, outside events, and visitors—all of which are essential to NERYC’s long-term sustainability.

The Centennial Fund Campaign is a three-year capital campaign with a bold vision: to transform NERYC into the premier destination at the top of the Bay, whether for a day of leisure or a lifetime of membership. Our fundraising goal of $450,000 over three years will cover the costs of several key projects that were identified through the long-range planning process. These projects, based on members’ expressed interests and priorities, include clubhouse updates and improvements, exterior enhancements for curb appeal, and upgrades to the restaurant dining and drinking environment. Every dollar raised will contribute to bringing these projects to life. 

As we embark on this historic journey together, the Centennial Fund Committee urges all members to help make the vision for the North East River Yacht Club a reality by 2030. Your support for these improvement projects will enrich the experiences of both members and guests for years to come, ensuring that NERYC remains a vibrant and cherished institution into its next century.
