Small Boat Sailing
Members may trailer personal boats to the club for use on weekends. The club has a beach ramp capable of launching small boats on dollies. Limited rack storage small boats is available for seasonal fee. Trailers may NOT be stored in the club parking lot.
Club Daysailor Use
The O day 22 daysailor, BLUE CHIP, is avalable for adult and older Junior sailor use provided they meet the required pre- requisites. Sailors must reserve time slots for use.
Pre-Requisites For Use
- Users must be club members
- Users require an evaluation of seamanship and sailing competency
- Users must be able to demonstrate knowledge how to properly rig the boat, have a basic proficiancy in boat handling, docking and outboard operation
- Must return a signed waiver
- If born after 1972, must have a NASBLA approved MD equivalent Boating Safety Certification
- Juniors under 16 require parent supervision
- Users assume all responsibility for loss or damage and will immediately report such to the Sail Program Chair
- Users and crew must wear lifejackets (there is no formal patrol or rescue on the NE River)
- User assumes responsibility for returning and correctly stowing all equipment
Private instruction can be arranged on request.
Since use requires application and approval, it is recommended you
complete this process early in the season or well in advance of
anticipated use..
