Winter Land Cruise - March 4
thru 6th

receipt of a written contract, was low by $20 per couple. However, it is
still a great deal at $219

Shakedown Cruise - April 29 thru 30th
Where: Chesapeake
Inn, Chesapeake City on the C& D Canal
Fine dining to casual fare. We would like to invite you to the Chesapeake
Inn Restaurant & Marina, located on the waterfront in Chesapeake City, MD.
Our restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the Back Creek Basin, C&D Canal
and historic Chesapeake City. Whether you choose to have lunch or dinner,
you can enjoy a delicious meal inside or out. Our 65-slip Marina is
available for transient boaters stopping by for dinner, overnight stays or
seasonal rentals. We have 24-hour shower and restroom facilities. For a Bed

Memorial Day Weekend –
May 27 thru 29th
Where:
Baltimore Yacht Club on Sue Island, Middle
River
This
is a private yacht club and since it is their Opening Weekend the only slips
that will be available will be those that will be vacated by members.
There is usually no slip fee and all slips will be assigned on a first come
first serve basis. The slips range in size from 20' to 74' with one T-Head.
They have a fuel dock, bath house, club house, bar, restaurant, & pool.
Queen of the Chesapeake Pageant* -
June 4th

LOOKING FOR A FUN WEEKEND?
COME SUPPORT PRINCESS SAMANTHA AT THE QUEEN OF THE CHESAPEAKE PAGEANT
On Sunday, June 4th
the Maryland Yacht Club will be hosting the annual Queen of the
Chesapeake Pageant. Our lovely Princess Samantha will be competing for
this honor for the 2nd time. On an average, 20 Princess’s from participating clubs, like NERYC, compete for the Crown and become a representative for the
Chesapeake Bay Yacht Club Association. The Queen of the Chesapeake
promotes the conservation and preservation of the Chesapeake Bay.
Candidates previously submitted a 100 word essay on the Chesapeake Bay.
During the pageant they deliver their essays and then are asked 3
questions by a panel of judges. Five finalists are selected and then one
at a time they are asked an addition question. The Queen is announced.
Pageant weekend at Maryland Yacht Club is always a fun weekend. The club has a beautiful swimming pool and an awesome
view of the Chesapeake. In addition there are dances, cookouts and plenty
of libations. NERYC members are encouraged to attend either for the
weekend or for the pageant. If you are planning on taking your vessel to
MYC please contact the Fleet Cpt ASAP (there are usually no slip fees But
reservation is essential).
July 4th Fireworks – July 3rd
Where: Upper NE River
Decorate
your boats and yourself in RED, WHITE, & BLUE, pack a picnic dinner for your
family and join us for the July 4th fireworks
display at our traditional 3rd of July Raft-up to view
Northeast’s Fireworks.
Mid Summer Cruise -
July 8th thru
9th
Where: Worton Creek Marina
With
over 50 years of history in one of the most picturesque settings, Worton Creek Marina is conveniently located on the
Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay just northeast of Baltimore, Maryland.
A full service marina offering seasonal and transient dockage, fine dining,
pool, & gift store.

Late Summer Cruise -
Aug 5 thru 6th
Where: Crescent Yacht Club, Middle River
Located a little further up
Middle River than BYC, this is yet another private club in a great setting,
with which we enjoy reciprocity. Friendly members and $10 slip fee per boat,
make it a great deal.

Labor Day Cruise –
Sept2nd thru 4th

COMMODORE'S COCKTAIL PARTY TO BE HELD AT NERYC ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 3RD, AT
4PM.
Fleet Captain will still be collecting $5.00 per adult to cover the
costs of beer, wine and soda. If not drinking from the Fleet
Captain locker, no problem, you won't be charged.
As usual, the regular bar will be open with other beverage
opportunities, with normal drink rates.
This event is open
to all members.
Where: Annapolis Yacht Basin
The
Yacht Basin Company is a large, modern facility with new, fixed docks,
showers and laundry on site. The marina can accommodate vessels up to 234
feet. From your yacht you will enjoy a lovely view of Annapolis Harbor. The
Yacht Basin Company has a strategic location in Annapolis, just a few steps
from the center of this exciting yachting community. The marina
is neighbored on one side by the prestigious Annapolis Yacht Club and on the
other by the Marriott Hotel. All around you are eighteenth century houses
and narrow streets with a wide variety of shopping and eating opportunities.
You will be able to arrange tours to all sorts of exhibits and historic
public and private buildings. The friendly management & staff will be happy
to provide you with information concerning the wide variety of events and
activities.

Sassafras Harbor Marina
Located seven nautical miles up the Sassafras River on the North side before
the
Sassafras
River Bridge. Sassafras Harbor Marina offers the following amenities:

and uncovered. TV
and Telephone hookup. Metered electric. Swimming pool.
Air-conditioned bathrooms. Washer/Dryer facilities. 70 Ton

Picnic/Grilling areas. Landscaped
Yards. Our
air-conditioned Activities Center has a game room with video games, pool
tables and a ping-pong table. The upstairs is an open room used as a lounge
or can be rented out for private parties. Cable TV is available in the
upstairs rooms.
